Pjotr, like all of our clothing, is made from sustainable materials. The fabric we used for this polo is made of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane. The fabric is GOTS-certified, which means it meets the strictest sustainability requirements used in the textile industry. Our labels are also made from sustainable materials and even the buttons are made from recycled materials.
Lovetrigger was born out of concern for the environment. It was time to make a positive impact in an industry that is the second most polluting in the world after the oil and gas industry. That’s why we chose to work with materials that have a minimal impact on the environment and companies that operate in a socially responsible manner.
We have deliberately chosen to produce in the Netherlands. The costs are a lot higher than in countries like Portugal and Turkey, where most other sustainable brands produce their clothing, but our CO2 footprint is a lot lower as a result. Moreover, we are stimulating an industry that had almost disappeared in the Netherlands, but has now been given a boost again thanks to many new Dutch people from countries like Syria and Iraq.
